Hill House Musical Success at Don Valley Festival

Last weekend, a number of talented Hill House musicians showcased their skills at the prestigious Don Valley Music Festival, delivering outstanding performances across a range of ensembles and choirs.
Representing the school were the Senior Guitar Orchestra, Boys of Hill House Choir, Gentlemen of Hill House Choir, Jazz Orchestra, Junior Choir, and Senior Choir. Each group performed exceptionally well, demonstrating their hard work and dedication to music.
Many Hill House musicians achieved individual recognition, with soloists Finlay Christian, William Barker, Gracie Murray, Ryan Li and Imogen Burn receiving awards for their outstanding performances, to name but a few.
The Senior Choir proudly took home The Mary Wakefield trophy, highlighting their musical excellence. The Senior Guitar Orchestra was awarded the esteemed The Doctor Gardner Trophy, while the Boys of Hill House Choir were chosen as joint winners for the best overall choir, earning shared ownership of the prestigious Ireland Cup for their remarkable performance.
Huge congratulations to all pupils who took part in the festival. Their dedication and passion for music were truly inspiring.
Some of our talented musicians will also be performing at the Don Valley Celebration Concert this Saturday, which will be hosted at Hill House School. We look forward to another evening of fantastic music!
