Hill House Introduces Prestigious Headmaster's Award

Hill House School has introduced a distinguished new accolade, the Headmaster’s Award, to be presented only during the calendar year 2025 to celebrate pupils who demonstrate exceptional qualities and dedication to extracurricular activities. This initiative comes in recognition of our recent achievement of being named Independent Secondary School of the Year North 2025 by The Sunday Times' Parent Power School Guide.
Headmaster Mr. David Holland inaugurated the award on Friday by presenting the first eight commemorative badges to the main cast of the school’s recent Senior School Production of The Wizard of Oz. The badges serve as a special acknowledgement of the pupils’ commitment, talent, and hard work in bringing the production to life.
Mr. Holland expressed his enthusiasm for the new award, stating, “It is a privilege to recognise the outstanding contributions of our pupils. Whether it be in The Arts, Sport, or one of the many varied activities we offer at Hill House, I look forward to awarding many more of these special badges to deserving pupils throughout the year.”
The Headmaster’s Award aims to inspire and reward Hill House pupils for engaging fully in school life beyond the classroom, fostering a culture of excellence and participation. The initiative reinforces Hill House’s commitment to holistic education, ensuring pupils are recognised not only for their academic achievements but also for their dedication to personal development and enrichment activities.
