Hill House Lecture Series Ends on a High!

The 2024/2025 Hill House Lecture series reached its exciting conclusion this week with a captivating presentation by Professor Sophie Scott, marking a memorable finale to the academic year's events.
Professor Scott, a distinguished British neuroscientist and Director of University College London's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, is renowned for her groundbreaking research into the neuroscience of communication, particularly the study of laughter and its role in human interactions. Her engaging lecture delved into the intricacies of vocal communication, offering profound insights into how our brains process speech and the significance of laughter in social contexts. Sophie explained complex scientific concepts with relatable anecdotes and examples, shedding light on the profound impact of laughter on human connections.
