Hill House Sixth Former Joins Great Britain Senior Gymnastics Squad
We are delighted to share the incredible achievement of Hill House Sixth Form student, Elliot Vernon, who has been awarded a place on the Great Britain Senior Gymnastics Squad.
This prestigious honour marks the next step in his outstanding gymnastics journey, having previously excelled in international competitions as a Junior Men’s Squad gymnast for Great Britain.
Elliot's new role will see him training alongside the country’s elite athletes, including European, World, and Olympic championship competitors.
This opportunity is testament to Elliot's remarkable dedication, as he balances a rigorous 30-hour weekly training schedule at Leeds Gymnastics Club and Lilleshall National Sports Centre, with his A-Level studies in Maths, Physical Education, and Economics.
Elliot joined Hill House in the Junior School and continues to demonstrate the school’s commitment to encouraging children to progress in as many directions as possible, achieving excellence as well as developing skills away from the classroom.
Looking ahead, Elliot is eager to attend his first Senior Squad training camp this January, which will kick off an exciting chapter in his gymnastics career.
We wish Elliot every success as he pursues his dreams on the national and international stage!
