Fun and Friendship at Founder's Day 2024

Hill House School enjoyed another wonderful Founder’s Day this weekend. A longstanding annual event in the school calendar which provides an opportunity for former staff and pupils to reconnect and remember their time at the school, alongside current staff.

This year, our alumni cricket and hockey teams achieved a double victory against our 1st XI squads. The alumni hockey team secured an impressive 4-1 win, showcasing their enduring skills on the field. Meanwhile, the alumni cricket team triumphed with a commanding victory, winning by more than 50 runs. Both matches were thrilling displays of sportsmanship and team spirit, reminding us of the competitive prowess of our former pupils.

Entertainment for the day commenced with the school's jazz orchestra, featuring talented former pupils from the Class of 2024: Alfie Atack on keyboards, Olivia Willis playing flute, Ed Mason on guitar, and Sam Honeybone (Class of 2022) on the saxophone. Their impressive set energised the crowd and set the tone for a day full of festivities.

We were also thrilled to have solo performances by Anya Goel (Class of 2023) and Olly Novello (Class of 2020), both of whom are advancing in their musical careers. Despite their busy schedules, they made time to return and showcase their exceptional talents, captivating the audience with their performances.

This year’s event saw an unprecedented turnout, with an impressive number of alumni returning, many for the first time since they left the school. Our attendees represented seven decades of former pupils, from the Class of 1954 to the numerous recent alumni from the Class of 2024, and many others in between! It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces reconnecting with old friends and teachers, sharing memories, and celebrating their time at Hill House.
