Inspiring Evening with Sam Quek at Hill House Lecture

Hill House School was delighted to host a memorable evening with Olympic gold medallist and television personality Sam Quek, as part of the Hill House Lecture series. Sam, who is best known for her outstanding career in hockey and her appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, captivated the audience with stories from her diverse and successful career.

During her talk, Sam shared the many valuable lessons she has learned throughout her journey. She encouraged pupils and attendees to seize every opportunity, no matter how challenging or unexpected, and to embrace their unique strengths—what she calls their "superpowers." Her message of resilience, hard work, and self-belief resonated with everyone in the room.

The lecture was attended by pupils from Hill House, Hayfield School, and XP, along with parents, staff, and hockey enthusiasts from across the region.

Hill House School is proud to host these free events, which provide an invaluable opportunity for pupils and many others to engage with inspirational figures from a variety of fields. The evening with Sam Quek was no exception, leaving everyone motivated and inspired.

This event is part of Hill House's ongoing commitment to enriching the educational experience and offering pupils unique opportunities to learn from real-world success stories.

We look forward to welcoming Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage for the next Hill House Lecture on Tuesday 26 March.
