Girls' Rugby Festival Sets Stage for Rosslyn Park 7s
Last Saturday, the Blaxton Sports' Grounds were buzzing with excitement as we hosted the second annual Hill House Girls' Rugby Festival. Ten different teams from various clubs and schools enthusiastically participated across the U14 and U16 age groups, making it a spirited and competitive event.
One of the most commendable aspects of the day was the exemplary sportsmanship and camaraderie displayed by all the girls, who represented their schools and clubs with pride and enthusiasm, playing the game with infectious smiles on their faces. The hundreds of spectators in attendance were delighted by the quality of pay, showcasing the talent available across our region.
The success of this event serves as excellent preparation for players from all teams for the upcoming Rosslyn Parks 7s tournament next week, where Hill House itself will proudly field two girls' teams for the first time in its history, with last year's national Under 14 champions attempting the same achievement in the Under 16 competition.
A heartfelt congratulations to all the girls who took to the field, as well as the coaches and organisers who made the event possible. With such a positive response, Hill House School eagerly anticipates hosting the competition again next year, fostering a tradition of sportsmanship and excellence within its community.
