School Sports Pavilion Officially Opened by Sporting Great!
On Tuesday 24 January, Hill House welcomed sporting hero, Tracey Neville MBE to officially open the new Pavilion located at the school’s sports grounds in Blaxton.
Watched on by staff, governors, a small group of friends and supporters of the school, as well a selection of sporting pupils from Hill House, Tracey cut the ribbon to officially open the building which provides a wonderful place for teams to change and spectators to enjoy the matches.
After originally buying the land in 2011, and developing sports grounds which have been regularly used for rugby and cricket, work started last year on the Pavilion which features 4 changing rooms, a tearoom with kitchen facilities, an outdoor patio, and a visitor parking area.
David Holland, Headmaster of Hill House School said, “I’m thrilled to see the completion of the vision for these sports grounds. The Pavilion provides another outstanding facility for pupils which will elevate the standards of Hill House sport to even higher levels for years to come.”
The Pavilion was developed with Doncaster-based architects, Building Link Design and PS Construction, with a number of trees donated for landscaping by Fenwood Estates.
