Hill House School Celebrates Sporting Excellence at Annual Sports Awards Dinner

On Friday 14 June 2024, we held our much-anticipated Annual Sports Awards Dinner at Doncaster Racecourse, celebrating the outstanding sporting achievements of pupils from Year 10 to the Sixth Form. Over 150 pupils and parents gathered to honour the dedication and success of the school's athletes in rugby, hockey, cricket, and netball.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the four main trophies, which recognised individual and team excellence. Connie Crowther was named Year 10 Sportswoman of the Year, while Kieran Davies took home the Year 10 Sportsman of the Year award. The prestigious Keyworth Cup for Contribution to Sport was awarded to Harry Oldham, and the coveted Team of the Year title was claimed by the 1st XV rugby team, expertly led by Nate Close.

In addition to the major awards, individual achievements in all sports were also recognised.

Headmaster Mr David Holland praised the pupils for their hard work and dedication, saying, "Our Annual Sports Awards Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our pupils. Each of these young athletes has shown tremendous commitment and passion for their sport, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments."

The evening was a testament to the vibrant sporting culture at Hill House School, reinforcing the school’s commitment to fostering talent and encouraging excellence in all areas of pupil life.

Congratulations to all the teams and award winners who were recognised at this year's event!
