Hill House School has been awarded top marks from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

The ISI, which is appointed by the Department for Education to inspect association independent schools in England, graded Hill House ‘Excellent’, the highest possible level, in all areas of inspection.

Headmaster, David Holland, is delighted with the report. He said, “In September, we were visited by a very experienced team of six inspectors, and I am thrilled that they were able to see the school’s outstanding qualities and that their report reflects the school which our staff and families all know well.

“It is crucial that a top school maintains its momentum in all areas and looks always to improve the provision and outcomes for the pupils, and we look forward to continuing to do this between now and our next inspection, in around three years’ time.”

As well as taking into account the school’s compliance in statutory regulations, the inspection covers the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements along with their personal development.

In particular, the report comments on the pupils’ ‘exemplary attitudes to learning’, ‘mature social awareness’ and ‘highly developed communication skills’, all of which are qualities which are highly regarded by the school.

Marking its 110^th year since being founded as a preparatory school in 1912, Hill House has recently celebrated outstanding exam results for both GCSEs and A Levels as well as being accepted into HMC (The Heads' Conference), an elite group of the world’s top 350 independent schools.
